This romantic Hammersley teapot, creamer and sugar create a sense of luxury that was dominant in the Victorian era. The creamy white background has a lovely floral on it. The lid, with a steam hole, has roses while the sides and pieces are lamprocapnos which are noted for their pendulous spring flowers. They are symbolic of love
From 1972 through the 80s, Hammersley China was part of the Royal Worcester and Spode Group. Production continued up to 1988 when the Hammersley brand was sold to Aynsley China
Hammersley was originally part of the Prince of Wales Pottery from Longton, England. This was one of the many prestigious factories which made up the Staffordshire potteries. It was founded in 1872.
Measurements: This is meant for an individual. The sugar bowl is 3" across and 1.5" high. The creamer is 4.25" from the spout to the outer handle and 1.5" high.
The teapot is 6.25" from the spout tip to the outer handle. It is 3.5" high and holds 1 3/4 liquid cups or 14 ounces. It is basically a two cup teapot.
