Indian Tree is a china pattern that was popular during the last half of the nineteenth century. The pattern includes the crooked branch of a tree and a partial landscape with exotic flowers and leaves. Green, blue and pink, flowers as well as a tip guard and steam hold are on the cover. It holds 4.5 cups of liquid. It is called a six cup teapot. Because of the shape, it is referred to as a a Sadler Cube teapot.
James Sadler founded the company in Victoria times. This piece was made about 1940, making it Art Deco.
