Enjoy a hot cup of tea with this pretty floral bone china teacup and saucer from the Royal Albert. The pattern is called Windermere. There were two patterns with the same name from this company. This was made from 1964 to 1980. There were six designs placed their Montrose shape cup. The others were called Coniston, Derwent, Grasmere, Keswick and Ullswater.
There is charming custom of bringing a teacup to the home of a friend. It then becomes a Friendship Cup where you are thought of when it is used and treasured for years to come.
Royal Albert Bone China of England was the upscale division of the Thomas C Wild and Sons company located in St. Mary's Works, Longton, England. They produced lovely bone china beginning in 1917.
Measurements: The saucer is 5.5" in diameter. The cup is 3.5" from rim to rim and is 2.75" high, 3" high including the angel wing handle.
This English bone china is in excellent condition. There are no chips, stains, cracks or crazing. There is a soft dot here and there under the glaze which occurred at the time of manufacture. We do not sell damaged wares. You may buy with confidence.
