The staff at Lahey Hospital is beyond caring. Knowing that a lovely lady was nearing the end, they even hired a harpist to play for her in her room. When asked who paid for such extraordinary service, they told me it was from donations.
A memorial fund was established in her name. After clearing out her home, some things were sold on Etsy. Sharing some of her beautiful treasures with others, enabled us to donate some of the profit back to the hospital to help others. That included taxis to the hospital, getting a nurse in the home and many other end of life needed services. Lahey, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, invited me to be a member of their Women's Leadership Council.
The shop grew. The English bone china was the most popular. We share the histories of some of the companies. We carry the most popular and valuable brands.
