Aynsley Orchard Teacup, Aynsley Fruit Teacup, Fruit Teacup, Aynsley Orange Teacup, Aynsley Footed Teacup, Aynsley Tea Cup
Aynsley Bone China of England has become famous for their signed fruit designs. This detailed cornucopia of fruit was created by D Jones, but we cannot find a signature on this one. It is hand painted, but perhaps not by her.
The orange teacup and inside colors are wonderful and the gold trim is the perfect edging.
Doris Jones worked at the Aynsley factory from 1938 to 1969. The pattern was made by painting on the transfer pattern by hand by the artist. The colors are luscious, reflecting harvest fruit, The rich colors made this item extremely collectible and popular. Again, this is NOT signed, but we have handled many of hers. It looks like another, but we could be wrong. It is well done.
Aynsley Bone China of England was produced by the John Aynsley and Sons Ltd at Portland Works in Longton, England. They were part of the Staffordshire Potteries.
