Thistles happily intertwine around the elegant white bone china Royal Albert teacup and saucer.
The design is called Highland Thistle. It was used during the 1950s. Note the angel wing handle on this English bone china cup and saucer. This is called their Countess shape. Just to keep you informed, there was another pattern with the same name during the 1960s but a different cup shape was utilized.
Royal Albert has become increasingly collected in recent years. The firm was the upscale division of the Thomas C Wild and Sons company located in St. Mary's Works, Longton, England. They produced lovely bone china beginning in 1917.
Measurements: The saucer is 5.6" in diameter. The cup is 2.9" high and 3" from rim to rim. This holds the standard six ounces.

This English teacup and saucer is in excellent condition. Although we wish to sell, we prefer to have loyal, satisfied, repeat customers. We do this by fully describing every flaw that we see. There are no cracks, chips or crazing. There are a couple of tiny dark specks under the glaze which are due to age. They are visible in the pictures. We do not sell damaged items. You may buy with confidence.
