People adore the signed gold fruit teacups by Aynsley. Some people collect Nancy Brunt. It is a beautiful design.


Aynsley Bone China of England has become famous for their signed fruit designs. This detailed cornucopia of fruit was created by N Brunt.
The colors are wonderful and the gold trim is the perfect ruffled edging. The teacup and saucer are all signed by her.

Nancy Brunt worked at the Aynsley factory from 1935 to 1975. The pattern was made by painting on the transfer pattern by hand by the artist. The colors are luscious, reflecting harvest fruit, The rich colors and signed bone china made this item extremely collectible and popular. The signatures are visible in the pictures.

Notice that Brunt painted the saucer grapes in purple. The edges of the cup and saucer are both ruffled. The original sales sticker is still on the bottom. Jordan Marsh closed in the 80s, but it could have been purchased years before that.

Aynsley Bone China of England was produced by the John Aynsley and Sons Ltd at Portland Works in Longton, England. They were part of the Staffordshire Potteries.

Measurements: The saucer is 5.75" in diameter. The cup is 3.75" from rim to rim and sits 2.25" high upon an elegant pedestal base. Including the handle, it is 2.5" high.

This antique china is in excellent condition. There are no cracks, stains, chips or crazing. There is some wear, but the gold is NOT worn off. The patina is visible in the pictures. We do not sell damaged items. You may buy with confidence.

I realized that the cup and the saucer not matched although they are all gold orchard but not the original matching pattern. Quite disappointed about that. But the quality is good.
