Sorry, this item has sold.

Wedgwood China of England produced an unglazed finish called Jasperware. This velvety green jasperware bowl was made in 1971. However the inside is glazed. This means that it can hold water safely.

Wedgwood was founded in 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood, who is now remembered as the "Father of English Potters". He was in the heart of the English potteries and serviced his apprenticeship as a potter before setting up his own business.

After he manufactured a cream colored tea and coffee service for Queen Charlotte, wife of George III, she allowed him to style himself "Potter to Her Majesty" and to call his new cream ware Queen's Ware. The rest is history. This is one of the most sought after Wedgwood pieces in the market today.

This bowl is dated 1971 which is incised on the underside along with the name Wedgwood. It also says Made in England.

The price includes free Priority Mail shipping within the US and free shipping insurance. It is too heavy to send overseas.

Measurements: The bowl is 2.5" tall and 4.9" from rim to rim.

This English Wedgwood is in excellent condition. We do not sell damaged items. You may buy with confidence. There are no cracks, chips or crazing.
