$49.00
Pale orange satin ribbon trim makes this glass box regal. They were used in almost every ladies' boudoir during Victorian times.
Ladies used to place perfume on a hankie which delicately infused fragrance onto their handkerchiefs.
The gathered ribbons have been hand applied. It looks to us that someone restitched the ribbons by hand. One can see the stitching easily.
This listing is includes one beige silk handkerchief as well. Of course, they has been laundered and pressed. The box is and hankie are from about 1900.
The price also includes free shipping within the US as well as shipping insurance.
This glass treasure is in good condition except for being able to see some replacement ribbon and stitching. There was probably a gesso ring at the tip to help lift the cover. Because the condition could be a little better, we have lowered the price. Other ones that we sold were $85.
Measurements: The longest side is 9.5". The other two sides are 7.5" long. It is 4" high.
