During World War II, Shelley allowed some companies to work with them. Shelley produced the china. The other company decorated it. Then it was sold.
But there is one company that did not have such an arrangement. That was the Peacock China Company. The company used the Shelley blanks but tried to cover the Shelley logo.
If you look carefully, you can see the green Shelley logo peeking out from the bottom. This pattern is often used with royalty. It was on the wedding mug of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew by Royal Doulton.
This is very rare. If you collect Shelley china, this is a must because of its history.

Shelley Fine Bone China of England is one of the highest quality manufacturers. This teacup and saucer is in the Oleander shape, not to be confused with the footed Oleander shape.
Measurements: The saucer is 5.75" in diameter. The cup is 4" from rim to rim and is 2.25" in high.
This English cup and saucer is in excellent condition. There are no cracks, crazing, chips or repairs. We do not sell damaged items. You may buy with confidence.
