Beautiful hand painted butterflies fill the panels. This was produced by Noritake or Nippon around 1920.
Variations of Noritake marks include wreath marks with letter M inside (Morimura brothers – original founders of the company), sometimes with the word ‘Noritake’ above but often only with words ‘Hand Painted’ above and ‘NIPPON’ below. The elegant colorful piece is in the Nippon tradition.

This Japanese piece is in excellent condition. Although we wish to sell, we prefer to have loyal, satisfied, repeat customers. We do this by fully describing every flaw that we see. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. We do not sell damaged items. You may buy with confidence. There a couple of paint drops on the outside near the top edge that occurred when the item was being made.
