The Nova Scotia tartan is featured among the pink mayflowers, the official provincial flower, on this plaid butter or cheese dish.
The circular cover fits snugly on the bottom which also has the tartan, shield and motto on it.
The motto, MUNIT HAEC ET ALTERA VINCIT translates to: One defends and conquers others.
Royal Stafford created the Tartan Series during the 1950s. The gold trim is hand applied to the scalloped edges.
