The sweet pitcher wears the sixth green mark for the years of manufacture between 1965 to 1980. The shamrocks provide charm. The handle is a version of twigs and vines.
Whether being used for milk, cream or maple syrup, it holds 6 ounces or 3/4 cup easily.
Measurements: The hand painted Belleek is 3.5" from spout to outer handle, 1.75" from rim to rim, 3" wide and 3.5" high.
Of course, it is made in Ireland by the Belleek Pottery, Ltd. company. The small pottery village of Belleek in Fermanagh County, Ireland had local clay deposits the produced exceptionally translucent goods. It became known as Parian, a soft, mother of pearl glow that became associated with Belleek China.
The world took notice and since 1853, Belleek has been prized.
