Colorful poppies cascade over the glossy white china on this birthday tea cup for the month of August. They are, of course, the birth flower for this summer birthday.
Royal Albert Bone China of England issued a Flower of the Month Series of teacups and saucers in 1970. They used their cup shape named Montrose.
There was one for each month: Snowdrops, Violets, Anemones, Sweet Pea, Lily of the Valley, Roses, Forget-Me-Not, Poppy, Michaelmas Daisy, Cosmos, Chrysanthemum, and Christmas Rose.

The tea cup and saucer I purchased were in perfect condition. April made such an effort to ensure that nothing would break as it traveled across the country. The tea cup arrived very quick! The quality of the tea cup is excellent. It is very beautiful and the "August" tea cup completed my 12 month set. Thank you for extra effort you put forth by wrapping it so nicely! I felt like I was opening a Christmas gift!
