Luxurious, translucent, French Haviland Limoges graces the table. This is a breakfast cup which is slightly larger than the average teacup. Note the hand painted pink blossom border and touches of gold.
A mixture of French clay containing kaolin from the Limoges region of France create the light but strong teacup and saucer.
This antique teacup and saucer was imported by the prestigious French and Potter Company of Chicago. They opened in 1886, after the major fire. It is Haviland Limoges from France. This backstamp was used from 1894 to 1931.

Measurements: The saucer is 5.9" in diameter. The cup is 2.25" high and 4.2" from rim to rim.
