The white pattern is cut by hand and gently placed upon the blue clay before it is baked. Any mistakes are discarded. Pride in their workmanship created quality pieces.
This is a blue jasperware (matte finish) trinket box. It also serves as a desk accessory for paper clips or other small objects including jewelry. The bottom is incised with the company name "Wedgwood" on the bottom. It features the Duke of Edinburgh who became the husband of Queen Elizabeth. This piece was designed to honor him during her coronation in 1953.
Measurements: It is 5" wide and 3.5" deep and 2" high. It also has Wedgwood incised on the bottom.
It is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or damage. You may buy with confidence.
