Irish shamrocks dance across this delightful Belleek teapot with the green mark. It is called the Teakettle teapot because the handle goes over the pot. It is hard to find.
This item is called NOS which means that it is "New Old Stock." In other words, it is from 2001, but has never been used. It comes with its original box as well.
The small pottery village of Belleek in Fermanagh County, Ireland had local clay deposits that produced exceptionally translucent goods. It became known as Parian, a soft, mother of pearl glow that became associated with Belleek China.
The world took notice and since 1853, Belleek has been prized.
This traditional teapot has the basketweave design with the delightful shamrocks.

Measurements: It is 8" from the spout to handle. 6" wide and 5" high. It holds 40 ounces of liquid. This is considered a six cup teapot. Teacups hold 6 ounces each.
